Troubleshooting Viewing

Let's get you back to the game. Most "can't watch" issues come down to a handful of things, and we've put them here in the order that fixes people fastest. Work down the list and you'll likely be watching within a couple of minutes.

1. Make sure you're on the latest version

An out-of-date app is the single most common cause.

  • On the app (phone, tablet, or TV): open the App Store, Play Store, or Amazon Appstore, and make sure BZZR is updated to the latest version.
  • On the web: refresh the page so you're on the current version.

Then close and reopen BZZR (or reload the page) and try again.

2. Turn on location

BZZR needs location access to confirm you're inside the Rangers broadcast area (Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, and New Mexico). If location is off — or you tapped "Don't Allow" at some point — you'll be blocked even when you're sitting right in the territory. This is one of the most common causes of "I can't watch," so it's worth checking carefully.

The full, device-by-device steps for turning location on (iPhone/iPad, Android, Mac, and Windows) are in Location Services. After you enable it, close and reopen the app or refresh the page, then press play again.

3. Confirm you're signed into the right account

If you activated but don't see live games or the Live tab, make sure you're signed into the same account you redeemed your code on. Access lives on that account, and being logged into a different one is the most common "my access disappeared" cause. Sign out and sign back in with the email you used to activate. More on this in [link to Account page] and [link to Code Help page].

4. Check whether it's a national broadcast

If one specific game just isn't there, it may be a nationally produced game (playoffs, the World Series, or a nationally televised regular-season game on ESPN, Fox, Peacock, etc.) that isn't part of the BZZR package. That's expected. See [link to Where & Which Games page] to check what's included.

5. Can't find the BZZR app in your TV's store?

The Apple TV, Google TV, and Amazon Fire TV apps roll out over launch day and can take a few hours to appear in search. When you search, press Enter instead of relying on the auto-complete suggestions — some folks find that BZZR doesn't surface in auto-complete right away but appears when you complete the search. If it's still not there, check back a little later; it will be available before first pitch Friday night. Full details in [link to Watch on TV page]. (Roku, Samsung, and LG apps aren't out yet — those are expected around August/September; cast in the meantime via Casting.)

Still stuck? We're here.

Reach us at Contact Support — email TXRangers@bzzr.com. It helps if you tell us:

  • your device (iPhone, Android, web browser, Apple TV, Fire TV, etc.),
  • whether you see an error message or just a blank/loading screen, and
  • whether you're a migrating Victory+ subscriber or a new sign-up.

On game nights we stay open until 30 minutes after the final out, so we've got you covered right through the game.

A few cosmetic things you might notice (the game still plays)

  • Black bar on desktop full-screen. On some laptops the full-screen stream shows a black bar on the right and isn't perfectly centered. The game still plays, and a fix is on the way.
  • A date that looks off on the mobile schedule. The app schedule may occasionally show a game a day off. Ignore the date label — the game plays at its real time.
  • A reload during a commercial break. If the stream gets stuck reloading, refresh or reopen the app and you'll drop right back in.
